Earned, never sold
Neither the size nor the finish is for sale. The moment gold can be bought, gold stops meaning anything — and every other level with it.
The ranking is per city
A national ranking is always won by the same capital and everyone else stops looking. Per city it is reachable wherever you are, and every new city starts its own race.
Every one carries a year
An undated award is an ornament. Dated, it becomes a record: the second seal is worth more than the first, and the third tells a story on the wall.
Shipped free
The seal arrives in its own envelope, not tucked into an order. Arriving as a surprise is half the award, and charging for it would break the only thing that makes it valuable.
The ladder
Everyone starts with the sticker in the pack. From there, what shows on the street depends on what you've done — which is why the first small decal already hints that a bigger one exists.
